    About this role...
    This is a a great role for a proven practitioner in the insolvency and more broadly commercial litigation space, offering challenging & stimulating matters. Here you will have the opportunity to work alongside  highly esteemed Partners , handling eg. insolvency, private corporate clients, liquidators, directors, secured creditors etc., and a range of other commercial/business disputes.  Here you will enjoy having autonomy,  direct client contactcourt appearances in all Courts & Tribunals  (incl. Supreme, County, Federal &/or VCAT), attendance at Creditors meetings, mediations etc. and will be a  pivotal member of their team  offering  excellent support and Partner mentoring .

    About you...
    The ideal candidate will be diligent & pro-active, client focussed, have sound integrity and strong technical/drafting skills together with:

    • Circa 3-6 years PAE  in commercial litigation matters such as contractual disputes (eg. building/construction, property/lease, commercial contract) and  insolvency  (receiverships, corporate restructuring, liquidations, voluntary administrations, bankruptcies, loan recovery, and securities enforcement);
    • An engaging manner with excellent communication skills at all levels;
    • The ability to understand complex transactional structures and manage the competing priorities of clients/files/procedures/billing/professional development etc.;
    • A team-oriented approach with a willingness to contribute to professional & business development activities as well as providing mentorship to less experienced colleagues;
    • Well developed negotiation skills and attention to detail.
